I got serious about photography when I was 16. I love being outside and I love the never ending challenge of trying to portray ‘that feeling’, you know, the warm evenings at twilight, the sense of isolation when you have a mountain to yourself, the sound of waves lapping the shore of an empty beach. My images are all about the outdoors and telling a story.

Photography Channel of the Year
In 2025 I was awarded the Content Creator of the Year by Amateur Photographer Magazine. This is a respected publication that’s been around for over a century. This award was made all the more special as it was a ‘reader’s choice’ award. I had no idea that my name had been put forward by so many photographers. Here is my Youtube channel.

Television
In 2025 I hosted a Nat Geo travel documentary Journey Across Jungles: The China Laos Railway.
The 3 part series was aired in April/May 2026 on Nat Geo’s tv channel. This was my first major role outside of my own YouTube channel.
I made a video discussing my thoughts and reflections on the project. You can watch that video below.
In 2020 I was approached by film director Alex Garland to work on the film ‘Men‘.

My role was ‘Atmos Camera’. This involved spending a month filming atmospheric B-Roll for the film. In other words, applying everything I know about landscape photography to cinema. Many of my shots appeared in the final edit.
Life Outside of Travel & Photography
I live in the North East of England with my beautiful wife, Charlotte, and Monty the dog. I enjoy most things that can be done in the outdoors. Second to photography, another passion is rock climbing where I partake in 3 disciplines; sport, trad & bouldering. For those interested, I climb to a bouldering grade of f6c-f7a (on a good day), sport 6C and trad E1 lead (on a good day). Needless to say I also enjoy camping, hiking and running. Can you sense a theme?
When I am not lost somewhere in the wilderness I like to spend time with Charlotte and Monty. We travel, eat, watch Only Fools & Horses together, go on long walks and enjoy the bliss of married life.
